Are You Interested In Landscape Photography?
At the club's last AGM in May 2010, the idea was put forward of creating special interest groups to help members to develop their skills in their favourite subjects.
Landscape photography is a perenially popular theme, and Dave Gray has volunteered to lead the formation of a group dedicated to Landscape enthusiasts.
Members can expect the following group activities :
- Knowledge sharing on basic techniques : camera settings, lens, and filters; rules of composition; use of light to create atmosphere etc
- Group critique of Members' photographs : We can all put the occasional photograph into monthly club competitions and listen to comments from an experienced judge. Acting as a group, we can bring many more photos along and get much more feedback about what people like about them, and why, and what aspects could be improved
- Field trips to scenic places : In Wiltshire, we have some outstanding natural scenery close to home, and we are within a couple of hours drive to much more. We can organise informal group trips to motivate people to get out with their cameras, and then have a follow up group critique session to compare the results.
